Starting pitcher Caden Dana went two innings, allowing one hit and striking out two batters. He set the tone for the Angels, and they never looked back.

Fringe starter Zach Pleasac threw two innings of work as well, allowing just one hit. He struck out three during his time on the mound in impressive fashion.

Outfielder Mickey Moniak was the difference in this game, hitting a two-run home run in the seventh inning to break the tie. Moniak is entering a crucial season in his career, so this is a good sign for the young player.

Here are some more highlights from the win:

It was a solid overall game for the Halos and one they can take a lot of lessons from. Next up for them is a matchup with the Texas Rangers with the first pitch scheduled for 12:05 pm PT.
